Reading Equals Awesome

Just like music, I absolutely love to read. When I was younger and in junior high/high school, I didn’t get into much trouble (In school at least. I was a wild child otherwise. My poor mom!) but when I did, it was because I would be caught, GASP!!!, reading a book in class that wasn’t the textbook of the class.

What a rebel! As a teen I couldn’t get enough of V.C. Andrews (Flowers In The Attic) books.

Also just like my music page, I have no idea what I’m going to do with this page yet. I love reading biographies and while my mom has been a HUGE Stephen King fan forever and a day, I just got into him last fall. Full Dark, No Stars was the very first book I read from him and I think it was excellent. Party on Wayne. Party on Garth.

I was reading Bossypants by Tina Fey, which is a must read, but then I got into the JFK miniseries that was on back in April and now I’m currently reading Jackie, Ethel, Joan: Women of Camelot. I also downloaded the John F. Kennedy biography, An Unfinished Life, onto my kindle and plan to read that next.

Besides Bossypants, I’m also juggling several other books but I’m in kind of a Kennedy obsession right now.

I see our daughters share a favorite author: DR Seuss – though I must say I love him too!!! At the moment her favorite is GREEN EGGS & HAM – I have read the grumpy bits in grumpy voice – and it just send her into giggles! – Im glad my kids shares my love of books!

  2. I have several children’s suggestions for you. Some of our most beloved books are:

Click, Clack Moo Cows that Type (Fun Story)
    Counting Crocodiles (Fun story)
Skippy Jon Jones (I find them annoying, but the kids love them)
Bear Snores On (My sweet Sophia’s favorite)
Where the Wild Things Are (I LOVE, LOVE this book)
    Anamalia (Amazing Illustrations)

    Happy Reading!
